Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Developers, Banking and Media sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.07% to hit a new 6-months low.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Benefit Systems SA (WA:BFT), which rose 5.31% or 130.00 points to trade at 2,580.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) added 3.70% or 0.72 points to end at 20.18 and Grupa KĘTY SA (WA:KTY) was up 2.15% or 15.50 points to 735.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bank Millennium SA (WA:MILP), which fell 4.44% or 0.40 points to trade at 8.60 at the close. Bank Polska Kasa Opieki SA (WA:PEO) declined 2.62% or 3.75 points to end at 139.50 and Allegro (WA:ALEP) was down 1.78% or 0.52 points to 28.63.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 317 to 205 and 94 ended unchanged.
Shares in Allegro (WA:ALEP) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.78% or 0.52 to 28.63.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 3.14% or 2.10 to $69.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 3.00% or 2.13 to hit $73.17 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.74% or 44.80 to trade at $2,614.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was unchanged 0.02% to 4.32, while USD/PLN fell 0.29% to 4.08.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 106.40.
