Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Information Technology, Energy and Construction sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN), which rose 2.75% or 1.57 points to trade at 58.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) added 2.12% or 0.55 points to end at 26.55 and Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) was up 1.88% or 0.38 points to 20.56 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Enea SA (WA:ENAE), which fell 3.04% or 0.35 points to trade at 11.15 at the close. Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) declined 2.65% or 0.26 points to end at 9.38 and Pepco Group Nv (WA:PCOP) was down 2.49% or 0.50 points to 19.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 295 to 199 and 114 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.73% or 0.51 to $70.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.64% or 0.47 to hit $74.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.77% or 20.70 to trade at $2,669.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.23% to 4.29, while USD/PLN rose 0.43% to 3.89.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 101.33.
