Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Food, Construction and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 lost 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP), which rose 3.11% or 1.66 points to trade at 54.96 at the close. Meanwhile, Enea SA (WA:ENAE) added 2.46% or 0.25 points to end at 10.40 and Powszechny Zaklad Ubezpieczen SA (WA:PZU) was up 2.32% or 1.01 points to 44.48 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which fell 3.26% or 9.00 points to trade at 266.80 at the close. Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) declined 2.68% or 0.63 points to end at 22.92 and Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER) was down 1.88% or 0.90 points to 46.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 315 to 220 and 186 ended unchanged.
Shares in Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) fell to 5-year lows; down 2.68% or 0.63 to 22.92.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 0.88% or 0.56 to $64.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.75% or 0.50 to hit $67.54 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 2.10 to trade at $1332.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.05% to 4.1692, while USD/PLN rose 0.02% to 3.3910.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 89.89.
