Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Chemicals, Energy and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 1.31%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Kruk SA (WA:KRU), which rose 19.78% or 36.00 points to trade at 218.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) added 5.27% or 3.90 points to end at 77.94 and Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) was up 3.81% or 1.68 points to 45.76 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR), which fell 1.86% or 1.30 points to trade at 68.60 at the close. Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER) declined 1.16% or 0.55 points to end at 46.70 and OrangePL (WA:OPL) was down 1.08% or 0.05 points to 4.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 223 to 214 and 168 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.11% or 0.08 to $73.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.77% or 0.60 to hit $78.67 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.27% or 3.40 to trade at $1256.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.08% to 4.3177, while USD/PLN rose 0.27% to 3.6809.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 93.96.
