Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Energy, Basic Materials and Developers sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 1.30% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Energa SA (WA:ENGP), which rose 7.93% or 0.97 points to trade at 13.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Enea SA (WA:ENAE) added 5.76% or 0.79 points to end at 14.50 and PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE) was up 4.12% or 0.53 points to 13.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which fell 1.89% or 5.45 points to trade at 283.25 at the close. Kruk SA (WA:KRU) declined 1.69% or 5.00 points to end at 290.00 and Synthos SA (WA:SNS) was down 1.65% or 0.080 points to 4.770.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 260 to 213 and 186 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.18% or 0.09 to $51.01 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.23% or 0.13 to hit $56.48 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.26% or 3.32 to trade at $1290.48 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.68% to 4.2659, while USD/PLN fell 1.03% to 3.6002.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 92.89.
