Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 1.29% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW), which rose 3.97% or 3.45 points to trade at 90.45 at the close. Meanwhile, Synthos SA (WA:SNS) added 3.74% or 0.160 points to end at 4.440 and mBank SA (WA:MBK) was up 2.37% or 10.30 points to 444.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP), which fell 1.31% or 0.68 points to trade at 51.22 at the close. CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR) declined 1.04% or 0.89 points to end at 84.81 and Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP) was down 0.83% or 0.08 points to 9.55.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 279 to 218 and 168 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.10% or 0.05 to $49.34 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $52.34 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.35% or 4.37 to trade at $1260.33 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.22% to 4.2612, while USD/PLN rose 0.78% to 3.6326.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.39% at 93.66.
