Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Information Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 0.96%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (WA:PGN), which rose 4.25% or 0.27 points to trade at 6.62 at the close. Meanwhile, Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) added 2.64% or 0.60 points to end at 23.34 and Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) was up 2.49% or 1.12 points to 46.18 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dino Polska SA (WA:DNP), which fell 2.12% or 1.95 points to trade at 90.00 at the close. Enea SA (WA:ENAE) declined 1.44% or 0.12 points to end at 8.24 and mBank SA (WA:MBK) was down 1.24% or 5.20 points to 415.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 223 to 203 and 173 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.74% or 0.55 to $74.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 1.00% or 0.84 to hit $84.75 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.29% or 3.40 to trade at $1192.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.23% to 4.3072, while USD/PLN fell 0.14% to 3.7510.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 95.44.
