Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Developers, Banking and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 0.95%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP), which rose 4.14% or 2.80 points to trade at 70.40 at the close. Meanwhile, Bank Zachodni WBK SA (WA:BZW) added 2.70% or 10.00 points to end at 380.00 and mBank SA (WA:MBK) was up 2.70% or 10.60 points to 403.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kruk SA (WA:KRU), which fell 4.89% or 10.60 points to trade at 206.20 at the close. Energa SA (WA:ENGP) declined 2.13% or 0.18 points to end at 8.29 and Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) was down 1.99% or 0.74 points to 36.36.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 220 to 208 and 198 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP) rose to all time highs; rising 4.14% or 2.80 to 70.40. Shares in Energa SA (WA:ENGP) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.13% or 0.18 to 8.29.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.28% or 0.19 to $67.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.12% or 0.09 to hit $74.69 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.76% or 9.20 to trade at $1194.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.42% to 4.2885, while USD/PLN rose 0.74% to 3.7093.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 95.41.
