Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Media, Food and Developers sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 0.77%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS), which rose 6.00% or 0.78 points to trade at 13.70 at the close. Meanwhile, LPP SA (WA:LPPP) added 4.84% or 710.00 points to end at 15,370.00 and Enea SA (WA:ENAE) was up 3.28% or 0.38 points to 11.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which fell 5.14% or 1.04 points to trade at 19.20 at the close. Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) declined 3.54% or 0.28 points to end at 7.62 and Pepco Group Nv (WA:PCOP) was down 1.88% or 0.31 points to 15.89.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 261 to 234 and 116 ended unchanged.
Shares in Enea SA (WA:ENAE) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 3.28% or 0.38 to 11.95.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 1.17% or 0.82 to $70.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.97% or 0.72 to hit $74.95 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.11% or 29.80 to trade at $2,704.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.17% to 4.33, while USD/PLN rose 0.58% to 4.17.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.66% at 107.64.
