Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Media and Information Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 0.66% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH), which rose 3.37% or 4.15 points to trade at 127.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) added 3.28% or 3.30 points to end at 104.00 and BUDIMEX SA (WA:BDXP) was up 2.95% or 14.20 points to 496.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CD PROJEKT SA (WA:CDR), which fell 2.63% or 5.60 points to trade at 207.10 at the close. CCC SA (WA:CCCP) declined 0.85% or 1.50 points to end at 176.00 and Dino Polska SA (WA:DNP) was down 0.67% or 3.00 points to 448.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 268 to 244 and 109 ended unchanged.
Shares in Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) rose to all time highs; up 3.28% or 3.30 to 104.00.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.19% or 0.14 to $74.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.10% or 0.08 to hit $78.37 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.68% or 18.94 to trade at $2,783.94 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was unchanged 0.00% to 4.21, while USD/PLN fell 0.93% to 4.01.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.72% at 107.09.
