Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Energy, Information Technology and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 0.59%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Text SA (WA:TXTP), which rose 6.28% or 5.20 points to trade at 88.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) added 3.31% or 0.39 points to end at 12.16 and Enea SA (WA:ENAE) was up 2.66% or 0.29 points to 11.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were LPP SA (WA:LPPP), which fell 1.93% or 300.00 points to trade at 15,250.00 at the close. Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) declined 1.63% or 0.21 points to end at 12.70 and BUDIMEX SA (WA:BDXP) was down 1.39% or 9.00 points to 636.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 254 to 249 and 115 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.71% or 1.32 to $75.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.57% or 1.26 to hit $79.02 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.35% or 8.45 to trade at $2,419.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.56% to 4.30, while USD/PLN rose 0.90% to 3.97.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 104.34.
