Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Chemicals and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 0.55% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW), which rose 3.93% or 3.95 points to trade at 104.45 at the close. Meanwhile, LPP SA (WA:LPPP) added 2.78% or 219.70 points to end at 8129.70 and Powszechny Zaklad Ubezpieczen SA (WA:PZU) was up 2.42% or 1.13 points to 47.76 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eurocash SA (WA:EUR), which fell 2.36% or 0.85 points to trade at 35.15 at the close. Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) declined 1.85% or 0.50 points to end at 26.60 and Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) was down 1.23% or 0.55 points to 44.25.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 257 to 233 and 172 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.61% or 0.29 to $47.72 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.37% or 0.19 to hit $52.23 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.41% or 5.29 to trade at $1297.29 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.22% to 4.2519, while USD/PLN fell 0.91% to 3.5786.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.61% at 92.66.
