Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals and Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 0.41%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN), which rose 2.87% or 3.66 points to trade at 131.07 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP) added 2.66% or 1.73 points to end at 66.70 and Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) was up 2.43% or 0.90 points to 37.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kruk SA (WA:KRU), which fell 4.19% or 12.95 points to trade at 296.00 at the close. Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER) declined 3.54% or 1.89 points to end at 51.51 and Powszechna Kasa Oszczednosci Bank Polski SA (WA:PKO) was down 2.09% or 0.74 points to 34.69.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 248 to 239 and 177 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for November delivery was down 3.01% or 1.53 to $49.26 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 2.79% or 1.59 to hit $55.41 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.33% or 4.22 to trade at $1277.42 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.15% to 4.3110, while USD/PLN fell 0.02% to 3.6749.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 93.67.
