Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Food sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 0.39%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were OrangePL (WA:OPL), which rose 10.20% or 0.51 points to trade at 5.51 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP) added 5.77% or 3.54 points to end at 64.84 and Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) was up 3.76% or 0.92 points to 25.42 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Enea SA (WA:ENAE), which fell 2.92% or 0.41 points to trade at 13.64 at the close. Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (WA:PGN) declined 1.92% or 0.13 points to end at 6.64 and Powszechny Zaklad Ubezpieczen SA (WA:PZU) was down 1.49% or 0.67 points to 44.24.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 252 to 235 and 194 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was up 0.57% or 0.30 to $52.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.38% or 0.22 to hit $58.66 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 4.77 to trade at $1274.23 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.31% to 4.2518, while USD/PLN rose 1.35% to 3.6365.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.83% at 94.31.
