Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Basic Materials and Information Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Eurocash SA (WA:EUR), which rose 7.46% or 2.52 points to trade at 36.30 at the close. Meanwhile, KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) added 2.30% or 2.77 points to end at 123.45 and Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) was up 2.18% or 2.03 points to 95.33 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP), which fell 2.30% or 1.60 points to trade at 68.00 at the close. Synthos SA (WA:SNS) declined 1.82% or 0.080 points to end at 4.310 and CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR) was down 1.66% or 1.44 points to 85.06.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 276 to 230 and 170 ended unchanged.
Shares in Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 2.18% or 2.03 to 95.33.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.65% or 0.31 to $47.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.48% or 0.25 to hit $51.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.29% or 3.75 to trade at $1292.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.14% to 4.2737, while USD/PLN rose 0.27% to 3.6319.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 93.35.
