Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking, Construction and Energy sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 0.27%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were mBank SA (WA:MBK), which rose 4.12% or 17.60 points to trade at 445.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) added 3.93% or 0.070 points to end at 1.850 and Enea SA (WA:ENAE) was up 2.91% or 0.23 points to 8.13 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CCC SA (WA:CCCP), which fell 4.81% or 11.40 points to trade at 225.40 at the close. Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP) declined 2.78% or 2.08 points to end at 72.82 and Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) was down 1.94% or 0.44 points to 22.26.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 242 to 213 and 182 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.06% or 0.04 to $72.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.83% or 0.67 to hit $81.20 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.12% or 1.40 to trade at $1205.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.18% to 4.2880, while USD/PLN fell 0.38% to 3.6429.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 93.70.
