Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Media, Basic Materials and Construction sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS), which rose 2.35% or 0.30 points to trade at 13.09 at the close. Meanwhile, Kruk SA (WA:KRU) added 2.35% or 10.40 points to end at 453.40 and Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) was up 2.13% or 0.54 points to 25.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Allegro (WA:ALEP), which fell 2.25% or 0.88 points to trade at 38.27 at the close. LPP SA (WA:LPPP) declined 0.94% or 140.00 points to end at 14,790.00 and Bank Millennium SA (WA:MILP) was down 0.94% or 0.09 points to 8.93.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 265 to 252 and 101 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.64% or 0.48 to $75.06 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.75% or 0.60 to hit $79.08 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.10% or 2.65 to trade at $2,540.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.15% to 4.27, while USD/PLN fell 0.19% to 3.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.45% at 101.84.
