Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Food and Information Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN), which rose 1.87% or 1.72 points to trade at 93.69 at the close. Meanwhile, Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER) added 1.77% or 0.90 points to end at 51.80 and Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) was up 1.38% or 0.58 points to 42.48 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were ING Bank Śląski SA (WA:INGP), which fell 1.74% or 3.20 points to trade at 181.00 at the close. Enea SA (WA:ENAE) declined 1.49% or 0.14 points to end at 9.23 and Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR) was down 1.05% or 0.75 points to 70.75.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 210 to 201 and 205 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.55% or 0.38 to $68.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.20% or 0.15 to hit $73.30 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.16% or 2.00 to trade at $1222.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.31% to 4.2613, while USD/PLN fell 0.17% to 3.6831.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 95.01.
