Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Chemicals, Developers and Media sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 0.17%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP), which rose 4.13% or 0.34 points to trade at 8.58 at the close. Meanwhile, PKP Cargo (WA:PKPP) added 3.56% or 1.50 points to end at 43.60 and Energa SA (WA:ENGP) was up 2.86% or 0.25 points to 9.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (WA:PGN), which fell 2.60% or 0.16 points to trade at 6.00 at the close. KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) declined 2.03% or 1.86 points to end at 89.64 and LPP SA (WA:LPPP) was down 1.37% or 130.00 points to 9365.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 242 to 223 and 184 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 1.87% or 1.27 to $66.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.33% or 1.02 to hit $75.45 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.46% or 6.00 to trade at $1297.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.30% to 4.3018, while USD/PLN fell 0.15% to 3.6989.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 94.35.
