Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Media, Chemicals and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Alior Bank SA (WA:ALRR), which rose 4.24% or 2.67 points to trade at 65.70 at the close. Meanwhile, CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR) added 3.30% or 3.50 points to end at 109.50 and Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) was up 2.87% or 1.93 points to 69.11 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER), which fell 1.82% or 1.08 points to trade at 58.12 at the close. PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE) declined 1.11% or 0.15 points to end at 13.39 and Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) was down 1.03% or 0.040 points to 3.850.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 256 to 225 and 170 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 0.60% or 0.30 to $50.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.76% or 0.42 to hit $55.06 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.14% or 1.85 to trade at $1312.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.30% to 4.2800, while USD/PLN fell 0.57% to 3.5706.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 91.62.
