Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Information Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Eurocash SA (WA:EUR), which rose 7.38% or 3.41 points to trade at 49.61 at the close. Meanwhile, Boryszew SA (WA:BORY) added 5.37% or 0.27 points to end at 5.30 and Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) was up 3.67% or 0.54 points to 15.27 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS), which fell 4.31% or 1.00 points to trade at 22.19 at the close. Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) declined 3.48% or 2.59 points to end at 71.85 and Bank Polska Kasa Opieki SA (WA:PEO) was down 2.49% or 3.78 points to 148.10.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 269 to 259 and 159 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.48% or 2.59 to 71.85.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.10% or 0.05 to $48.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $48.82 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.24% or 2.95 to trade at $1251.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.20% to 4.4198, while USD/PLN rose 0.13% to 3.9428.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 95.40.
