Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Oil & Gas and Information Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP), which rose 5.38% or 2.96 points to trade at 58.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) added 4.79% or 1.17 points to end at 25.62 and CD Projekt SA (WA:CDR) was up 3.33% or 3.21 points to 99.56 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH), which fell 4.40% or 4.75 points to trade at 103.28 at the close. Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) declined 2.75% or 2.64 points to end at 93.28 and mBank SA (WA:MBK) was down 2.19% or 10.50 points to 469.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 282 to 233 and 174 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.28% or 0.16 to $57.63 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.59% or 0.37 to hit $62.82 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.90% or 11.50 to trade at $1266.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.04% to 4.2048, while USD/PLN rose 0.35% to 3.5575.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 93.33.
