Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Banking and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Dino Polska SA (WA:DNP), which rose 6.34% or 19.80 points to trade at 332.10 at the close. Meanwhile, KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGH) added 3.84% or 5.40 points to end at 146.15 and CCC SA (WA:CCCP) was up 2.93% or 4.50 points to 158.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Allegro (WA:ALEP), which fell 8.39% or 3.25 points to trade at 35.48 at the close. Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:JSW) declined 1.91% or 0.44 points to end at 22.56 and Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) was down 1.16% or 0.16 points to 13.62.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 246 to 245 and 102 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 2.12% or 1.48 to $71.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.87% or 1.38 to hit $75.03 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.41% or 10.55 to trade at $2,609.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was unchanged 0.11% to 4.27, while USD/PLN unchanged 0.12% to 3.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 100.50.
