Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Energy, Chemicals and Developers sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 gained 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE), which rose 3.86% or 0.42 points to trade at 11.29 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) added 1.96% or 0.70 points to end at 36.50 and Tauron Polska Energia SA (WA:TPE) was up 1.74% or 0.040 points to 2.340 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were LPP SA (WA:LPPP), which fell 3.23% or 270.00 points to trade at 8100.00 at the close. PKP Cargo (WA:PKPP) declined 3.08% or 1.32 points to end at 41.48 and Grupa Lotos SA (WA:LTSP) was down 1.99% or 1.85 points to 91.15.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 235 to 231 and 189 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.65% or 1.38 to $53.37 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.44% or 1.46 to hit $61.27 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.38% or 4.95 to trade at $1308.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.13% to 4.2958, while USD/PLN rose 0.13% to 3.7601.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 95.498.
