Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemicals, Information Technology and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 rose 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were PKP Cargo (WA:PKPP), which rose 4.21% or 1.70 points to trade at 42.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Cyfrowy Polsat SA (WA:CPS) added 3.53% or 0.88 points to end at 25.78 and Grupa Azoty SA (WA:ATTP) was up 3.00% or 1.28 points to 43.88 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE), which fell 3.38% or 0.32 points to trade at 9.15 at the close. Kernel Holding SA (WA:KER) declined 3.11% or 1.70 points to end at 53.00 and Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP) was down 2.94% or 0.25 points to 8.24.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 247 to 197 and 190 ended unchanged.
Shares in PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna SA (WA:PGE) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.38% or 0.32 to 9.15. Shares in Globe Trade Centre SA (WA:GTCP) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.94% or 0.25 to 8.24.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 4.14% or 2.93 to $67.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 3.34% or 2.63 to hit $76.16 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.05% or 0.70 to trade at $1303.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was down 0.07% to 4.3072, while USD/PLN rose 0.37% to 3.6913.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.37% at 94.07.
