Investing.com – Poland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Information Technology, Oil & Gas and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 added 0.02%.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP), which rose 2.81% or 1.22 points to trade at 44.62 at the close. Meanwhile, mBank SA (WA:MBK) added 1.05% or 5.00 points to end at 479.80 and Polski Koncern Naftowy ORLEN SA (WA:PKN) was up 0.74% or 0.70 points to 94.86 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Enea SA (WA:ENAE), which fell 3.52% or 0.38 points to trade at 10.42 at the close. Kruk SA (WA:KRU) declined 2.41% or 5.20 points to end at 210.20 and Energa SA (WA:ENGP) was down 2.20% or 0.27 points to 12.03.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 230 to 214 and 207 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 1.17% or 0.72 to $62.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $65.68 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.54% or 20.90 to trade at $1335.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was up 0.34% to 4.1485, while USD/PLN rose 0.79% to 3.3587.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.47% at 89.50.
