Investing.com - Planet Fitness Inc 's (NYSE:PLNT) shares were indicated higher in the after hours session after the company released better-than-expected quarterly results. The budget gym’s second-quarter earnings rose to $12.4 million, or 16 cents a share, from $4.1 million, or 11 cents a share, a year earlier. The company's adjusted EPS was 22 cents a share, topping forecasts for earnings of 19 cents a share. Revenue grew 17% year-over-year to $107.3 million. Analysts expected revenue of $102 million.
Planet Fitness expects its full-year revenue will come in the range of $409 million to $415 million with same-store sales expected to grow in a range of 8% to 9%. Full-year adjusted EPS should fall in the range of 76 cents to 78 cents.
