Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Property, Holding Firms and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite fell 1.53%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were PLDT Inc (PS:TEL), which rose 2.80% or 34.00 points to trade at 1248.00 at the close. Meanwhile, GT Capital Holdings Inc (PS:GTCAP) added 1.69% or 15.00 points to end at 900.00 and Petron Corp (PS:PCOR) was up 1.02% or 0.090 points to 8.890 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC), which fell 4.24% or 0.820 points to trade at 18.500 at the close. Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) declined 4.21% or 11.40 points to end at 259.60 and JG Summit Holdings Inc (PS:JGS) was down 4.00% or 2.050 points to 49.200.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 112 to 79 and 51 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.44% or 5.50 to $1250.60 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.38% or 0.28 to hit $72.48 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract fell 0.22% or 0.17 to trade at $77.29 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.24% to 8.0774, while USD/PHP fell 0.07% to 53.544.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.20% at 95.21.
