Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Property, Holding Firms and Banking & Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite declined 1.36%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Manila Electric Co (PS:MER), which rose 2.94% or 9.60 points to trade at 336.60 at the close. Meanwhile, LT Group Inc (PS:LTG) added 2.46% or 0.550 points to end at 22.950 and Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) was up 1.15% or 3.40 points to 298.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were JG Summit Holdings Inc (PS:JGS), which fell 4.00% or 3.000 points to trade at 72.000 at the close. Ayala Land Inc (PS:ALI) declined 3.29% or 1.400 points to end at 41.100 and PLDT Inc (PS:TEL) was down 3.12% or 49.00 points to 1520.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 110 to 96 and 52 ended unchanged.
Shares in Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) rose to all time highs; rising 1.15% or 3.40 to 298.40.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.02% or 0.20 to $1318.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.51% or 0.32 to hit $62.69 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.38% or 0.25 to trade at $66.27 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.08% to 8.2416, while USD/PHP rose 0.21% to 52.133.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 90.47.
