Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Holding Firms, Property and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite lost 0.80%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Energy Development Corp (PS:EDC), which rose 4.43% or 0.240 points to trade at 5.660 at the close. Meanwhile, Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) added 4.18% or 1.90 points to end at 47.40 and Petron Corp (PS:PCOR) was up 2.55% or 0.260 points to 10.460 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were LT Group Inc (PS:LTG), which fell 4.11% or 0.740 points to trade at 17.260 at the close. Metro Pacific Investments Corp (PS:MPI) declined 3.25% or 0.220 points to end at 6.550 and Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) was down 3.02% or 0.800 points to 25.700.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 141 to 70 and 38 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.23% or 2.98 to $1284.82 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.04% or 0.02 to hit $52.16 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.14% or 0.08 to trade at $57.49 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.44% to 7.6413, while USD/PHP fell 0.13% to 50.970.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 93.27.
