Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Services, Holding Firms and Property sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite fell 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which rose 1.11% or 1.5000 points to trade at 137.0000 at the close. Meanwhile, BDO Unibank Inc (PS:BDO) added 1.04% or 1.20 points to end at 116.20 and San Miguel Corp (PS:SMC) was up 0.38% or 0.400 points to 107.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were PLDT Inc (PS:TEL), which fell 2.68% or 40.00 points to trade at 1455.00 at the close. Metropolitan Bank and Trust Co (PS:MBT) declined 2.35% or 1.90 points to end at 79.00 and International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT) was down 2.08% or 1.600 points to 75.400.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 98 to 92 and 49 ended unchanged.
Shares in BDO Unibank Inc (PS:BDO) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.04% or 1.20 to 116.20. Shares in San Miguel Corp (PS:SMC) rose to 3-years highs; up 0.38% or 0.400 to 107.000.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.22% or 2.75 to $1238.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.21% or 0.11 to hit $53.47 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.27% or 0.15 to trade at $55.80 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.12% to 7.2822, while USD/PHP rose 0.15% to 50.043.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.19% at 100.64.
