Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Mining & Oil, Property and Banking & Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite declined 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT), which rose 4.81% or 3.900 points to trade at 85.000 at the close. Meanwhile, GT Capital Holdings Inc (PS:GTCAP) added 2.60% or 39.000 points to end at 1539.000 and Philex Mining Corp (PS:PX) was up 0.58% or 0.050 points to 8.700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which fell 4.07% or 4.4000 points to trade at 103.7000 at the close. Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) declined 3.15% or 0.160 points to end at 4.920 and Bloomberry Resorts Corp (PS:BLOOM) was down 2.99% or 0.200 points to 6.500.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 95 to 82 and 54 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.56% or 7.65 to $1349.25 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.90% or 0.42 to hit $46.16 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.00% or 0.49 to trade at $48.74 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.29% to 6.9995, while USD/PHP rose 0.35% to 46.414.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.17% at 94.91.
