Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Holding Firms, Industrials and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite fell 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were San Miguel Corp (PS:SMC), which rose 3.40% or 4.70 points to trade at 143.00 at the close. Meanwhile, PLDT Inc (PS:TEL) added 2.08% or 28.00 points to end at 1375.00 and Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) was up 1.90% or 0.400 points to 21.400 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT), which fell 2.80% or 2.550 points to trade at 88.450 at the close. Ayala Corp (PS:AC) declined 2.48% or 25.00 points to end at 985.00 and LT Group Inc (PS:LTG) was down 2.48% or 0.440 points to 17.280.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 94 to 86 and 51 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.38% or 4.60 to $1215.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.22% or 0.15 to hit $66.66 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.10% or 0.07 to trade at $72.00 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.38% to 7.7484, while USD/PHP rose 0.06% to 53.126.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.50% at 95.94.
