Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Banking & Financials and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite fell 0.04%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which rose 4.11% or 1.50 points to trade at 38.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) added 4.05% or 0.850 points to end at 21.850 and SM Prime Holdings Inc (PS:SMPH) was up 2.22% or 0.800 points to 36.800 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC), which fell 2.81% or 3.90 points to trade at 135.00 at the close. Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) declined 1.79% or 0.100 points to end at 5.500 and Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) was down 1.70% or 4.40 points to 254.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 102 to 96 and 46 ended unchanged.
Shares in Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC) fell to 3-years lows; down 2.81% or 3.90 to 135.00.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.37% or 4.70 to $1292.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 0.97% or 0.57 to hit $58.38 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 0.05% or 0.03 to trade at $63.50 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.54% to 7.6415, while USD/PHP fell 0.71% to 50.350.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 92.55.
