Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Mining & Oil, Industrials and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite fell 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Ayala Corp (PS:AC), which rose 2.02% or 20.00 points to trade at 1010.00 at the close. Meanwhile, BDO Unibank Inc (PS:BDO) added 1.64% or 2.40 points to end at 149.00 and Ayala Land Inc (PS:ALI) was up 1.22% or 0.500 points to 41.500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which fell 6.66% or 2.15 points to trade at 30.15 at the close. Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) declined 2.42% or 7.40 points to end at 298.00 and Manila Electric Co (PS:MER) was down 1.79% or 6.00 points to 329.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 165 to 64 and 37 ended unchanged.
Shares in Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) fell to 52-week lows; down 6.66% or 2.15 to 30.15.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.22% or 2.90 to $1309.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 0.51% or 0.32 to hit $62.09 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.56% or 0.37 to trade at $65.84 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.40% to 8.2282, while USD/PHP rose 0.35% to 52.100.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 89.88.
