Investing.com – Philippines stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Services, Industrials and Banking & Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite declined 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Petron Corp (PS:PCOR), which rose 2.90% or 0.280 points to trade at 9.930 at the close. Meanwhile, Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc (PS:AEV) added 2.07% or 1.500 points to end at 74.050 and LT Group Inc (PS:LTG) was up 1.83% or 0.320 points to 17.820 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Emperador Inc (PS:EMP), which fell 6.85% or 0.520 points to trade at 7.070 at the close. Globe Telecom Inc (PS:GLO) declined 1.83% or 38.00 points to end at 2042.00 and International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT) was down 1.81% or 1.900 points to 103.300.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 133 to 66 and 45 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.91% or 11.55 to $1274.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.12% or 0.06 to hit $49.23 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.04% or 0.02 to trade at $52.16 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.49% to 7.5776, while USD/PHP rose 0.36% to 50.620.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.03% at 93.51.
