Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Property, Holding Firms and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 1.28%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT), which rose 4.17% or 4.200 points to trade at 105.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Aboitiz Power Corp (PS:AP) added 3.00% or 1.20 points to end at 41.20 and Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC) was up 2.96% or 4.00 points to 139.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which fell 1.60% or 0.60 points to trade at 36.80 at the close. San Miguel Corp (PS:SMC) declined 0.79% or 0.90 points to end at 113.00 and DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC) was down 0.68% or 0.100 points to 14.500.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 98 to 92 and 55 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.34% or 4.29 to $1282.49 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.51% or 0.28 to hit $55.42 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.07% or 0.04 to trade at $61.40 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.41% to 7.6798, while USD/PHP rose 0.11% to 50.955.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 93.59.
