Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Property, Holding Firms and Mining & Oil sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 1.13% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were JG Summit Holdings Inc (PS:JGS), which rose 4.83% or 3.500 points to trade at 76.000 at the close. Meanwhile, GT Capital Holdings Inc (PS:GTCAP) added 3.36% or 39.00 points to end at 1199.00 and Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) was up 3.07% or 1.40 points to 47.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Aboitiz Power Corp (PS:AP), which fell 1.47% or 0.60 points to trade at 40.10 at the close. Petron Corp (PS:PCOR) declined 0.76% or 0.080 points to end at 10.400 and Globe Telecom Inc (PS:GLO) was down 0.75% or 15.00 points to 1980.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 111 to 84 and 63 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.02% or 0.26 to $1328.26 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $49.33 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.11% or 0.06 to trade at $55.10 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.04% to 7.8050, while USD/PHP rose 0.34% to 51.150.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.08% at 92.32.
