Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Holding Firms, Property and Banking & Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 1.04%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were JG Summit Holdings Inc (PS:JGS), which rose 4.13% or 3.100 points to trade at 78.100 at the close. Meanwhile, GT Capital Holdings Inc (PS:GTCAP) added 3.88% or 45.00 points to end at 1206.00 and Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) was up 3.16% or 0.800 points to 26.100 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Energy Development Corp (PS:EDC), which fell 1.96% or 0.110 points to trade at 5.510 at the close. Emperador Inc (PS:EMP) declined 1.93% or 0.140 points to end at 7.100 and PLDT Inc (PS:TEL) was down 1.74% or 29.00 points to 1639.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 107 to 96 and 52 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.69% or 8.86 to $1275.94 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.37% or 0.19 to hit $51.48 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.23% or 0.13 to trade at $56.66 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.43% to 7.6832, while USD/PHP rose 0.40% to 51.100.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.56% at 93.43.
