Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Property, Banking & Financials and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 0.83%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Robinsons Land (PS:RLC), which rose 3.70% or 1.000 points to trade at 28.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Bloomberry Res (PS:BLOOM) added 2.99% or 0.260 points to end at 8.970 and Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) was up 2.67% or 0.120 points to 4.620 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Petron (PS:PCOR), which fell 1.94% or 0.180 points to trade at 9.120 at the close. Energy Develop (PS:EDC) declined 1.49% or 0.110 points to end at 7.270 and Philex Mining (PS:PX) was down 1.07% or 0.070 points to 6.460.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 100 to 69 and 24 ended unchanged.
Gold for August delivery was up 0.46% or 5.40 to $1183.00 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 2.27% or 1.36 to hit $61.51 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 1.83% or 1.19 to trade at $66.07 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.17% to 7.2541, while USD/PHP fell 0.41% to 44.906.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.54% at 94.65.
