Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Mining & Oil, Industrials and Holding Firms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite gained 0.82%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were San Miguel Corp (PS:SMC), which rose 4.90% or 7.10 points to trade at 152.00 at the close. Meanwhile, LT Group Inc (PS:LTG) added 2.89% or 0.650 points to end at 23.150 and Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) was up 2.37% or 6.80 points to 294.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Security Bank Corp (PS:SECB), which fell 0.73% or 1.80 points to trade at 243.40 at the close. International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT) declined 0.72% or 0.800 points to end at 110.000 and Metro Pacific Investments Corp (PS:MPI) was down 0.62% or 0.040 points to 6.460.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 123 to 72 and 58 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.24% or 3.30 to $1351.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.47% or 0.31 to hit $66.11 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.36% or 0.25 to trade at $69.90 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.09% to 8.1947, while USD/PHP fell 0.22% to 51.469.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 88.58.
