Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Property, Holding Firms and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 0.72%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Globe Telecom Inc (PS:GLO), which rose 6.49% or 134.00 points to trade at 2200.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) added 3.47% or 0.680 points to end at 20.300 and Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc (PS:RRHI) was up 3.27% or 2.600 points to 82.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC), which fell 4.84% or 0.580 points to trade at 11.400 at the close. PLDT Inc (PS:TEL) declined 4.76% or 65.00 points to end at 1300.00 and Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) was down 2.70% or 7.20 points to 259.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 99 to 85 and 45 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.09% or 1.10 to $1200.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.10% or 0.79 to hit $72.36 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.95% or 0.77 to trade at $81.56 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.15% to 7.8865, while USD/PHP rose 0.10% to 54.232.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 94.12.
