Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Holding Firms and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 0.59%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC), which rose 3.30% or 4.70 points to trade at 147.00 at the close. Meanwhile, JG Summit Holdings Inc (PS:JGS) added 2.64% or 1.850 points to end at 71.900 and LT Group Inc (PS:LTG) was up 1.81% or 0.320 points to 18.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which fell 0.59% or 1.00 points to trade at 169.00 at the close. Alliance Global Group Inc (PS:AGI) declined 0.44% or 0.060 points to end at 13.540 and Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc (PS:AEV) was down 0.41% or 0.300 points to 73.400.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 122 to 81 and 44 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.76% or 9.79 to $1280.61 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.11% or 0.05 to hit $47.64 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.08% or 0.04 to trade at $50.77 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.15% to 7.6985, while USD/PHP rose 0.68% to 51.405.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.22% at 93.55.
