Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Mining & Oil, Holding Firms and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which rose 6.36% or 7.3000 points to trade at 122.0000 at the close. Meanwhile, Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc (PS:AEV) added 3.19% or 2.400 points to end at 77.600 and International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT) was up 2.50% or 1.950 points to 79.950 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were LT Group Inc (PS:LTG), which fell 3.27% or 0.500 points to trade at 14.800 at the close. Philex Mining Corp (PS:PX) declined 1.15% or 0.100 points to end at 8.600 and First Gen Corp (PS:FGEN) was down 1.00% or 0.25 points to 24.65.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 90 to 85 and 66 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.13% or 1.75 to $1310.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.92% or 0.45 to hit $48.36 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.92% or 0.47 to trade at $50.42 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.10% to 7.2337, while USD/PHP rose 0.10% to 48.258.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.40% at 96.03.
