Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Industrials and Holding Firms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 0.53%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC), which rose 4.53% or 0.860 points to trade at 19.860 at the close. Meanwhile, BDO Unibank Inc (PS:BDO) added 3.20% or 4.80 points to end at 154.80 and Security Bank Corp (PS:SECB) was up 3.05% or 7.40 points to 250.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which fell 3.70% or 1.30 points to trade at 33.80 at the close. LT Group Inc (PS:LTG) declined 2.13% or 0.450 points to end at 20.700 and Globe Telecom Inc (PS:GLO) was down 1.81% or 31.00 points to 1683.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 113 to 100 and 47 ended unchanged.
Shares in Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.70% or 1.30 to 33.80.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.10% or 1.30 to $1333.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.93% or 0.58 to hit $62.02 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.96% or 0.63 to trade at $65.16 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.18% to 8.2197, while USD/PHP rose 0.04% to 51.980.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 89.53.
