Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Mining & Oil, Holding Firms and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 0.50%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were LT Group Inc (PS:LTG), which rose 3.14% or 0.440 points to trade at 14.440 at the close. Meanwhile, Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) added 2.92% or 4.0000 points to end at 141.0000 and GT Capital Holdings Inc (PS:GTCAP) was up 1.56% or 19.000 points to 1239.000 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were First Gen Corp (PS:FGEN), which fell 1.13% or 0.25 points to trade at 21.95 at the close. Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) declined 0.99% or 0.250 points to end at 25.050 and Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) was down 0.54% or 0.020 points to 3.710.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 97 to 96 and 44 ended unchanged.
Shares in Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.92% or 4.0000 to 141.0000.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.20% or 2.45 to $1236.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 0.45% or 0.24 to hit $54.02 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.63% or 0.35 to trade at $56.16 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.42% to 7.3229, while USD/PHP rose 0.62% to 50.375.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 100.84.
