Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Mining & Oil, Industrials and Holding Firms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 0.49%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC), which rose 3.45% or 8.80 points to trade at 263.80 at the close. Meanwhile, International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT) added 3.23% or 3.500 points to end at 112.000 and Aboitiz Power Corp (PS:AP) was up 2.50% or 1.00 points to 41.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG), which fell 4.31% or 0.220 points to trade at 4.880 at the close. Metropolitan Bank and Trust Co (PS:MBT) declined 2.46% or 2.70 points to end at 107.00 and Globe Telecom Inc (PS:GLO) was down 1.72% or 30.00 points to 1710.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 109 to 99 and 52 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.55% or 7.40 to $1342.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.05% or 0.03 to hit $64.33 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract fell 0.13% or 0.09 to trade at $69.78 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.12% to 7.8163, while USD/PHP fell 0.04% to 50.345.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 90.53.
