Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Property, Mining & Oil and Holding Firms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 0.42%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC), which rose 2.59% or 5.60 points to trade at 222.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) added 2.53% or 4.20 points to end at 170.00 and GT Capital Holdings Inc (PS:GTCAP) was up 1.92% or 22.00 points to 1167.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were First Gen Corp (PS:FGEN), which fell 2.52% or 0.44 points to trade at 17.02 at the close. International Container Terminal Services Inc (PS:ICT) declined 1.53% or 1.600 points to end at 103.000 and Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) was down 0.82% or 0.200 points to 24.250.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 105 to 96 and 48 ended unchanged.
Shares in First Gen Corp (PS:FGEN) fell to 3-years lows; falling 2.52% or 0.44 to 17.02.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.55% or 7.08 to $1286.92 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 0.33% or 0.16 to hit $48.66 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.42% or 0.22 to trade at $51.88 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.43% to 7.6808, while USD/PHP rose 0.43% to 51.230.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 93.22.
