Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Industrials and Mining & Oil sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite rose 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc (PS:AEV), which rose 4.22% or 3.200 points to trade at 79.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) added 3.55% or 10.00 points to end at 292.00 and Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC) was up 2.41% or 0.90 points to 38.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were First Gen Corp (PS:FGEN), which fell 3.39% or 0.52 points to trade at 14.80 at the close. Ayala Land Inc (PS:ALI) declined 3.19% or 1.400 points to end at 42.500 and Megaworld Corp (PS:MEG) was down 3.16% or 0.150 points to 4.600.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 113 to 104 and 42 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.75% or 10.00 to $1340.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.05% or 0.03 to hit $63.52 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.15% or 0.10 to trade at $66.94 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.57% to 8.2376, while USD/PHP rose 0.14% to 51.971.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 89.62.
