Investing.com – Philippines stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Banking & Financials, Holding Firms and Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite added 0.37% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the PSEi Composite were SM Investments Corp (PS:SM), which rose 2.34% or 21.50 points to trade at 940.00 at the close. Meanwhile, BDO Unibank Inc (PS:BDO) added 1.56% or 2.10 points to end at 136.50 and Ayala Corp (PS:AC) was up 1.06% or 11.00 points to 1050.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Semirara Mining Corp (PS:SCC), which fell 1.41% or 0.65 points to trade at 45.40 at the close. Emperador Inc (PS:EMP) declined 1.24% or 0.090 points to end at 7.180 and JG Summit Holdings Inc (PS:JGS) was down 1.20% or 0.950 points to 78.000.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Philippines Stock Exchange by 102 to 91 and 52 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.48% or 6.21 to $1291.21 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.38% or 0.19 to hit $49.77 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.47% or 0.26 to trade at $56.05 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 1.10% to 7.8164, while USD/PHP rose 0.45% to 51.459.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.30% at 93.27.
